About Me
During college, when I was obtaining my degree in marriage and family therapy, I worked for a police department. The experience ignited a passion for law enforcement, setting the trajectory for my life.
In 2004, I made a pivotal decision to prioritize my growing family. After the birth of my son, I stepped away from the world of policing to pursue a career in teaching. Armed with a Master’s Degree in Teaching, I embraced this new role, finding fulfillment in shaping young minds while maintaining a balance with my family life. Being a teacher was the perfect career for our family’s lifestyle.
Years passed, and my dedication paid off. Combining my years in law enforcement and education, I secured a pension, marking the end of another chapter and the beginning of another.
But my story doesn’t end there. With my wife, Amy, I found a way to give back to the community. Inspired by the memory of Amy’s late sister Michelle, who passed away from cancer, we established the Kindness Gala Foundation in 2014.
The foundation’s annual red-carpet event at the Bolingbrook Golf Course has become a beacon of hope, raising substantial funds for local charities that assist individuals and families facing cancer or other crises. Through our efforts, Amy and I have become pillars of support, channeling our journey from adversity to empowerment into a force for good in our community and raising thousands of dollars.
Today, Amy and I reside in Joliet with our two children, both of my kids going to Plainfield Schools.
I was elected to the board in 2022 and now sit on the Public Works & Transportation Committee, the Finance Committee, the Legislative Committee, the “old courthouse” committee, the Access Will County Committee, and I chair the Ordinance Committee.
I voted not to increase taxes and, most recently, was pivotal in ceasing the 143rd Street widening project, siding with the residents of Homer Glen, and standing up to the corrupt politics of Cook County! I have brought up numerous points of consideration to save money and hold positions accountable.
